Westchester County requires stream and stormwater connection permits.  Read the information below and follow the requirements outlined to obtain each specific permit.

Stream Permits
The county requires a stream permit prior to all work, whether it be a repair, an alternation or simple maintenance, on, above or within 100 feet of any county stream channel line.

This permit is required of any firm, person, corporation or improvement district or municipality whose intentions are to construct, repair, maintain or later any structure, drainage, water pip, conduit or other serviceable item.

Applicants are required to submit three original permit forms and three sets of plans indicating purposed impact to the stream channel. Only completed, notarized forms with original signatures will be accepted. Download the permit form.

Stormwater Connection Permits
The county requires a stormwater connecion permit for all connections (existing and new) and/or non-natural stormwater discharges into/on any county infastructure.

This permit is required of any firm, person, corporation or improvement district or municipality whose intentions are to convey stormwater or other approved discharges into the countys stormwater sewer system.

Applicants are required to submit three original permit forms and three sets of plans indicating purposed impact to the stream channel. Only completed, notarized forms with original signatures will be accepted.
